Before making a trek booking please read the following information carefully
1. Details required to make a trek booking: We need the names,
nationalities and ages all group members. Please clearly
state if you want to stay an extra night in Aguas Calientes after the tour
as these details cannot be changed after making a booking. Details such as
having special/vegetarian meals can be changed right up until 1
days prior to departure.
2. Arrive in Cusco 2 days before trek departure: Your arrival date in
Cusco must be at least 01 day
prior to trek departure since you have to pay the trek
balance before 5pm, 01 day before
you start the trek. Of course is better
to Arrive 02 days prior to
the trek also ensures that you are better acclimatized to
the high altitude.
3. Payment of trek deposit: You will need to pay the trek
deposit of US$150 per person within 06
days of us accepting your booking. We will send you details of how to pay
the deposit when we confirm your trek booking:

2.- by VISA Payment On-Line
3.- by Mail Order System On-line by Amex and Master Credit Cards (MOTO)
Further details of how to send the deposit are included with our trek
booking confirmation email. The remaining balance is to be paid in our office
at least one day prior to your trek
departure date. Payment must be made only in cash US$, local currency (Peruvian
Soles), or American Express Travel Cheques (3%).
4. Student discounts: receive a US$20 discount, If you are claiming a student discount you MUST
bring the ISIC card to the office when you pay the trek
balance and take it with you on the Salkantay Trek as
it will be checked by government officials. Unfortunately no other forms of
student identity are acceptable (university cards, international youth cards,
teachers cards etc). If you forget your ISIC card or lose it then
you will need to pay the difference as adult fee before to get
into the city of Machu Picchu.
5. Teenagers discounts: Teenagers under
17 years old
receive a US$20 discount, If you
are claiming a Teenagers discount you must send us a scan
of the Teenagers's passport
(page containing photo and date of birth) by email within 4
days of us accepting your booking. If you cannot provide us with a scan
of the Teenagers's passport
within 4 days of us accepting your booking we will charge
you the standard adult trek price for the
Teenagers.
6. Child discounts: Children under 08 years old receive a US$40
discount. If you are claiming a child discount you must send us a scan of
the child's passport (page containing photo and date of
birth) by email within 4 days of us accepting your
booking. If you cannot provide us with a scan of the
child's passport within 4 days of us accepting your
booking we will charge you the standard teenager trek
price for your child.
Please cut and paste the following section into your email to us and just fill
in any missing blanks. We will not accept any reservations without the names,
nationalities, ages & passport numbers. (If you are renewing your passport, you
can send us your old passport number, but you MUST bring the old passport
and the new one on the Inca Trail).

1. Your arrival date in Cusco must be at least 1 days

2. A free airport to hotel transfer is provided for groups of 2 persons or
more. A single supplement of US$5 will be charged for single travellers.
Obviously if you want an airport to hotel transfer we will require your flight
arrival details: Airline, flight number, expected arrival time and date. (to
be confirmed at least 7 days in advance).
3. If you have a hotel reservation in Cusco please include the name of your
hotel on the reservation form. This allows us to locate you if there are any
problems with your arrival. You will also be asked to confirm your hotel in
Cusco when you come to the office to pay the trek balance. Good information

We will confirm your trek reservation by email within a couple of days.
We will require a trek deposit of US$150 per person
paid in advance. The date by which the trek deposit has to be paid and details
of how to pay the trek deposit will be included in the trek confirmation
email.
Andean Life Trek Cancellation Policy
1. The trek deposit must be paid prior to the date shown on the trek
confirmation email. Clients must email Andean Life to confirm that they have
paid the deposit. Failure to pay the deposit and/or inform us of the deposit
payment details before this date will result in automatic trek cancellation.
Andean Life 2011, Payment’s Forms
We do provide Four forms to get your Payment deposit:

Method 2. Payment On-Line by Visa Card.
Method 3. Payment by wiring money into our Peru Bank account.
Method 4. Payment into Our USA local account at Wells

2. The trek balance must be paid in the Andean Life office prior to
5pm at least 1 day
prior to trek departure. Failure to pay the trek balance prior to this
time will result in trek cancellation.
3. Trek cancellations made between payment of trek deposit and
5pm, 1 days prior to trek departure date: Return of all payments made,
less the trek deposit of US$150 per person, less any
costs associated with receiving and returning the payment.
4. Trek cancellations made after 5pm 1
days prior to trek departure but prior to boarding the bus on the morning of
the trek:
(a) In the event that the trek is completely cancelled and none of the group
members depart: Refund of 50% of trek value. However not all of the refund
will be made in cash. Some of the refund will comprise your Machu Picchu
entrance ticket, your bus ticket from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes and your
return train ticket from Aguas Calientes to Cusco (approximate value US$105).
Please note that the client will be responsible for changing the dates of any
of these tickets (if necessary) and any costs associated with such changes.
(b) In the event that the client cancels their trek reservation but the rest
of the group continue on the trek: No cash refund. However we will give to
your Machu Picchu entrance ticket, your bus ticket from Machu Picchu to Aguas
Calientes and your return train ticket from Aguas Calientes to Cusco
(approximate value US$105). Please note that the client will be responsible for
changing the dates of any of these tickets (if necessary) and any costs
associated with such changes.
5. Trek cancellations made after trek departure (ie once you have boarded the
train / bus): No refund.
In all instances of trek cancellation by the client Andean Life will provide
written confirmation of the cancellation and details of any payments lost so
as to be used in the event of any insurance claim made by the client.
